Arrayent Inc., a global IoT cloud platform that enables leading brands to get connected and get closer to consumers, announced today that interoperability of connected products will be a key focus of its activities at CES 2017 and beyond.
“The promise of the smart home will be enabled by interesting functionality that enters the home product by product, developed by many different companies,” noted Arrayent CEO Cyril Brignone. “This requires interoperability of disparate products connected in the cloud, and between cloud ecosystems. And, that’s why a big focus for Arrayent is on helping our customers evolve their products by enabling interoperability with major ecosystems.”
One of the key areas under discussion at the Summit will be voice control in personal digital assistants like Amazon Echo and expansion of the voice interface along with strategies for integration and creating value for customers, according to Parks Associates.
Almost 40% of U.S. smartphone owners use voice recognition software, a figure that increases to 46% of millennial smartphone owners, according to the firm’s research. “The introduction of voice controls through solutions such as Amazon Alexa-enabled products has opened new possibilities in how consumers can interact with smart home products and services,” said the Director, IoT Strategy.
