PCS: Curtains go up on new INTUS terminals Print E-mail
Thursday, 08 March 2012 13:27

At this year’s CeBIT trade show in Hanover, Germany, PCS Systemtechnik GmbH is again joining forces with five of its software and system house partners to showcase innovative solutions covering time & attendance recording, access control, video surveillance and production data acquisition (Hall 6, Booth D 14). A PCS highlight at the trade show will be a new generation of INTUS family terminals and industrial PCs in their award winning design.

The spotlights focuses on three new devices: the multifunctional INTUS 5600 terminal, which has won the iF 2012 product design award right on time for the CeBIT 2012 and will be presented there for the first time, the equally new compact INTUS 6200 Industrial PC and the INTUS 6800 Industrial PC series.

The INTUS 5600 terminal speaks the language of modern design. The MagicEye used in all PCS terminals is integrated under the widescreen touch display on the RFID card reader hood. It is used to display the device’s operating status and for direct and unique user dialogs. This striking dialog tool is a key design feature of all new INTUS terminals and is a consistent element in the new terminal line. The high-resolution INTUS 5600 TFT color display enables state-of-the-art user interfaces.

Thanks to its slim housing and appealing design the new compact PC INTUS 6200 industrial PC blends in perfectly with its environment, even outside the factory building. Despite an extraordinarily streamlined depth of just 5cm and its powerful Intel Atom processor, the PC operates without any ventilator at all.

The new look INTUS 6800 industrial PC is also on display. Like the other two new devices, the PC INTUS 6800 has a reader hood for the integrated RFID reader. A high-resolution resistive 15 or 19 inch touchscreen display is perfect for user-friendly operator guidance – even without an attached keyboard – and stands up excellently to demanding day-to-day use in a harsh industrial production environment, as the optional IP65 degree of protection and optional integrable UPS demonstrate.
