infoteam Software AG provides a process for functional safe and secure software in railway technology Print E-mail

With the iFSM, infoteam Software AG presents project guidelines at InnoTrans 2016 for the development of functional safe software. The iFSM is certified by TÜV Süd according to the standard IEC 61508:SIL 3 and can be adapted to projects in railway technology in accordance with DIN EN 50128:SIL 4. The special aspect is the possibility to integrate tool-supported methods in compliance with the security standard ISO 27024 in the process. Therefore, the developed software is safe and secure. Therein, Gregor Schmitt, Business Segment Manager Transportation & Energy at infoteam Software AG sees the logical response to an increased risk of networked control systems being attacked: “In the railway technology, the usage of networked control systems is rising continuously and affects functional safe systems. If parts of the complete network are connected to the internet, or if passengers can access it via mobile devices selectively, the breeding ground for attacks will increase enormously – in functional safe areas, too.” Instead of costly retrofitting functional safe software, it is sensible to include this aspect while developing.
Besides the linking of functional safety and security, infoteam Software AG shows its know-how in the area of safe train control systems, with coordinated components for a seamless and fast certification. In addition, unified display systems and passenger information systems are central topics.
infoteam Software AG will be located in hall 6.2, stand 107.
