Topguard: Vehicle scanning at hotel in Singapore Print E-mail
Thursday, 12 January 2012 11:01

Topguard recently finished Testing & Commisioning the PlaterCatcher under vehicle scanning system (UVSS) for the prestigious Marina Bay Sand Hotel, Casino and Exhibition Centre in Singapore. One of Singapore’s leading system integrators, Certis Cisco, has handed over the system to Marina Bay Sands’ facility management.

With this system the Marina Bay Sand security staff is fully capable of checking undercarriages for explosives, weapons and other contraband on all major entrances during an increased security threat level. Furthermore Marina Bay Sends has a couple of mobile under vehicle scanning units at their disposal which can be deployed all over the site at only a moments notice.

For the VIP entrances at the casino, Marina Bay Sands has opted for Topguard’s PlateCatcher Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) as well. This is fully integrated with the Under Vehicle Scanning System and automatically stores the under vehicle scan under the vehicle’s licence plate number. The Marina Bay Sands hotel features the world famous Sky Park that with its bars, infinity pools, executive meeting rooms and observations decks towers over down-town Singapore. The mere presence of the PlateCacher Under Vehicle Scanning System has proven to be a strong deterrent for terrorist and is therefore highly appreciated by Marina Bays Sands’ security personnel. []
